After 29 years of living in the same home near Derby city centre, Rosie and Paul decided it was time for a change.
The couple had not initially considered a new-build property, but when they visited their nephew who lives at Hilton Valley, they fell in love with the style of homes.
Rosie told us: “Moving to Hilton Valley was the best decision we have ever made – we wish we did it years ago! Being closer to family was the real motivation for our move, but we hadn’t even thought about buying a new-build.
“We used the Part Exchange scheme to upgrade to the four-bedroom Garnet house type without having to worry about selling our previous home – we couldn’t be happier. My stop and stare moment was when I first saw the incredible floor to ceiling landing window – it lets in so much natural light and is really a unique feature. The finish of the home is also excellent and I’m really into interior design, so having this as a blank canvas is amazing.”
Paul added: “Another big factor in our move was that we wanted more scenic countryside routes directly on our doorstep and Hilton Valley is in the perfect location for this. The opening of the water pond and open green space nearby is also such a lovely bonus and we were able to secure a large garden plot, which is great! ”
Rosie continues: “The sales team at Hilton Valley have been brilliant. Buying a house after 29 years was a scary experience but Liz and Ben held our hand the whole way through the process. They really gave us the confidence that we were making the right decision. The Part Exchange scheme also really took away the stress, so it was a smooth journey from start to finish.”
