Cellach and her partner had previously experienced heartbreak and headaches in their hunt for more space for their young family. However, after working closely with our sales team and customising the space to suit their needs, they’ve been able to create their dream family home.
Here, she explains how her homebuying journey came together with St. Modwen Homes…
Initial expectations
“Initially, we were hesitant when looking at new-build properties because of a previous negative experience with a different housebuilder. However, when we saw the Becket home pop up on Rightmove we were intrigued as we also have friends who live on the Glan Llyn development.
“We were really impressed with the superb layout of the Becket as it really suited us as a young family of three, as it has an open-plan kitchen, diner and lounge space downstairs meaning that we’re not always going into different rooms and can spend more time together.”
The homebuying journey
One aspect of purchasing a new-build home that often gets overlooked is the journey from reservation to picking up your keys, as you’re able to oversee your property’s construction first-hand, with your sales consultant also updating you along the way.
For Cellach, this was a point of reassurance. She said: “As I mentioned, I was initially against us purchasing a new-build home, however after seeing the Becket we went to have a look around our potential plot at Glan Llyn and it was perfect. We fell totally in love with it.
“We consulted with the Sales Manager, Simon, who was able to support us in our homebuying journey – there were no strong sales tactics, he just supported us with information about the property and the homebuying process itself. This support was important as we were in the process of selling our existing home at the same time.”
Customising to Perfection
Many of our customers find the opportunity to customise, upgrade and personalise their new homes the most exciting and creative part of the homebuying journey. Homebuyers can make choices around different flooring types, doors, integrated appliances and many other features to make their new home perfectly suited to their taste and needs.
Cellach says: “We were kept informed throughout the homebuying process from reserving our plot at the beginning of June, to completing in August – our Sales Manager was able to help us choose our extra purchases like our flooring, and we were even able to visit as much as we like whilst our home was being finished.”
Once Cellach moved in she enjoyed transforming the blank canvas of her Becket home into the ideal setup for her family. She adds: “As a small family of three, we have made our son’s dream come true by giving him his own dedicated playroom. It means our downstairs can be kept presentable, his bedtime remains a place of calm and the playroom is the ‘fun space’ in this house. We use the room at the front of the house for the playroom which allows us to utilise the incredible light that comes in via the floor to ceiling windows.”
We are delighted to see just how happy Cellach is with her Becket home and the benefits it is bringing to her family. To find out more about the Glan Llyn development and the homes available to purchase there, click here.
