Two of the first homeowners to move into a new home at Hilton Valley in Derbyshire, Aimee Marsh and Paul Bachelor, didn’t expect to find a new build with character until they discovered the St. Modwen Homes’ difference.
“We always knew we wanted our first home together to be a new build so we took the time to visit a number of different developments in the area to see what was available in our price range, but in terms of design, St. Modwen Homes stood out from the crowd.
“The show homes weren’t open when we originally visited Hilton Valley, so we went to another St. Modwen Homes development, Trentham Manor in Stoke-on-Trent, to get an idea of the quality and build. That’s where excerpt.
“We wanted something different, with a bit of character, and the horizontal cladding and white render used on the elevations caught our eye. Inside, the layout really appealed to us, there’s a utility room off the kitchen – which we didn’t expect from a three bedroom home – and the open plan living space is great for entertaining and, moving from a second floor flat, we’ll definitely be putting the French doors leading to the garden to good use!
“In terms of location, Hilton Valley is perfect for us. It’s easy for us to travel to work, and there are some great facilities right on our doorstep. Being among the first to move in, we’re also looking forward to meeting the neighbours and watching the community grow as we settle into our new home.
