Frederique Wigmore, Foodbank Manager, told us: “We have stayed open right throughout the Covid-19 crisis and provided emergency parcels to thousands of people across Weston-super-Mare. The donations we receive are vital for us to continue helping the most vulnerable in our community.
“We can’t thank St. Modwen Homes and their contractors enough for this kind donation. The advent calendars, Christmas treats and vouchers will bless so many people around us and we now know we’ll be able to replenish some of our must-have stock, when it starts to run low.”
Jeremy Attwater, Regional Managing Director South at St. Modwen Homes, said: “Christmas can be one of the busiest times for food banks and they work incredibly hard to make sure that people get the support they need. We hope the donation will help Weston-super-Mare Foodbank meet the increase in demand and also spread some much needed festive joy across the community.
“On behalf of everyone at St. Modwen Homes, I’d like to wish everyone in Weston-super-Mare a very Merry Christmas.”
