Victoria Park wins at regional awards

We’re celebrating after scooping a top prize at this year’s Royal Town Planning Institute’s (RTPI) West Midlands Awards for Planning Excellence for Victoria Park in Stoke-on-Trent.

The company picked up the Award for Planning Excellence for the transformation of the former ground of Stoke City Football Club, on Boothen Old Road.

The RTPI West Midlands Awards for Planning Excellence celebrate outstanding projects that demonstrate the power of planning in transforming communities, with the winners announced at a ceremony held at the Burlington Hotel in Birmingham.

The judges commended St Modwen Homes for its extensive partnership working with the local Council, the Environment Agency and most importantly the local community, to bring forward this derelict brownfield site in to much needed new homes, open space and sports facilities for the local primary school. The judging panel concluded that St Modwen Homes had demonstrated the hallmarks of great planning: creativity, tenacity and innovation.
