The next generation of construction talent

St. Modwen Homes is opening the doors to seven of its sites across the country as part of a week-long event aimed at attracting young people into a career in construction.

Taking place between Monday 16 – Saturday 21 March 2020, Open Doors 2020 offers a unique chance for the public to go behind the scenes of live construction sites, offices, factories and training centres across Great Britain, and discover how the communities they live in are shaped and constructed by an industry with a diverse range of career paths to offer.

Open Doors seeks to inspire young people and career changers to consider and explore a dynamic and exciting career in the construction industry. image

St. Modwen Homes will be providing visitors with ‘behind-the-scenes’ tours of its sites, educating them on the different stages of build and showcasing the work that goes into delivering its residential and industrial buildings. Experts from across the business will be on hand to share knowledge and insight and to educate visitors on the various routes into the sector.

The event is also supported by the Considerate Contractors Scheme, the Careers Enterprise Company, Department for Work & Pensions and media partner Construction News.
