Brand-new showhome opened at former Royal Doulton pottery factory

We’re excited to have opened a brand-new showhome at our popular Kiln Gate development in Stoke-on-Trent, helping house hunters discover their dream home.

The 3-bed Mirin showhome has been expertly designed with modern living in mind. Visitors can experience the spacious layout of the home first-hand, with features such as an open plan kitchen/dining space and French patio doors out to the garden, as well as a spacious main bedroom with a handy en-suite. Built on the former Royal Doulton pottery factory in Burslem, we’ve honoured the history of the site to preserve its legacy, with design features including the original factory gates being used as the entrance to the development.

Inside the showhome, the Mirin has been thoughtfully decorated to reflect the heritage of the area, too. Taking inspiration from the development’s former use, the interior of this modern showhome makes a nod to its historical roots.

Earthy tones reflect the pottery heritage, while contemporary shapes bring the design into the 21st century. As a result, the showhome reflects the modern development it sits within, whilst nodding to the legacy of the area in a unique styling mix.

“We were keen to ensure the artistic history of the area had a key focus throughout the home. The work from home space would typically be set up as an office, but in the Mirin it is designed as an artist’s studio. Demonstrating the versatility of the spaces within the showhome is also great for prospective homeowners, as they can see how many different ways there are to personalise the area to your needs.”
