Planning approved for Digbeth One 2

Last year we announced the fantastic news that St. Modwen Homes would be completing a once stalled apartment scheme on a piece of land in the heart of Digbeth, Birmingham.

While we had committed to complete the project as per the design proposed by the previous developer, we did put forward some changes to update and enhance the overall design.

Subsequently, we’re thrilled to announce that planning is now approved for the construction of the scheme fronting Bradford Street, Lombard Street and Cheapside

The part 5/part 6 storey building will consist of a total of 194 apartments from 1 to 3 bedrooms, including a selection of penthouses and studio dwellings.

Named Digbeth One 2, the design of the building is influenced by the rich industrial heritage of Digbeth with styles echoing the vibrant and creative culture that has emerged there.

Due to the limited ground space on site, the building will be completed in two phases, allowing the team to complete one half of the building before moving on to the next phase. Following fit-out and installation, both phases will complete together, and the building will be ready for occupation in the summer of 2021.
