Local school pupils draw what they love the most about Uttoxeter

Local primary school pupils in Uttoxeter took part in a competition to show us what they most love about their local area. We invited children at Picknalls First School to draw posters of their favourite local places and what they enjoy doing around the town.

The winning entry, from year 4 pupil Lucy, will be displayed in our Homebuyer Hub at our Bramshall Meadows development. Lucy also received a £50 gift voucher, while runners up Nicole and Grace were awarded £30 and £20 vouchers respectively.

Anne Tapp, Headteacher of Picknalls First School, said: ‘We are thrilled to have three winners recognised for their artwork in this competition. Art is something that the children simply love to do and we are so proud of their efforts. It’s been great to work with St. Modwen Homes and we’d like to thank them for the opportunity to take part in this exciting competition. We’re looking forward to working with them again in the future.”

Jo Winston, Sales Director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the pupils at Picknalls First School who took part in our ‘love your neighbourhood’ competition. All of the entries were fantastic, and we saw lots of really inspiring drawings to help give our customers a unique insight into what’s to love in and around Uttoxeter.

“Picking a winner was by no means easy but, in the end, we decided that Lucy’s design would be the perfect welcome to our Bramshall Meadows development. Well done to everyone!”
