New Tupton football club scores £1,000 donation

We have joined forces with New Tupton Ivanhoe Football Club by donating £1,000 to the club to help them buy some fantastic new winter coats for the under 11’s team!

With teams that range from Under 7s all the way through to the adult men’s team, the club looks to provide opportunities for young people in the area by helping them to express themselves through sport. The hope is that the sponsorship will encourage others to join the club too.

Antony Maidens, Under 11s Coach and Chairman of New Tupton Ivanhoe FC, said:

“We are extremely grateful for St. Modwen Homes’ kind donation towards our winter coats for the season. This generous donation has not only provided the team with the necessary equipment needed to enjoy playing all year round, but it has allowed us to free up some funds to pay for further training facilities and cover league/match fees. Plus, the new coats really are a huge hit with all our players!

“On behalf of everyone at New Tupton Ivanhoe FC, I would like to say a huge thank you to St. Modwen Homes.”

Along with the teams that play games over the weekend, the club also runs sessions called “Little Ivanhoes” which takes place twice weekly for 4-6year olds. This is as well as a “Wildcats” training session which consists of non-competitive football for girls (aged 5-11) who want to give football a go in a friendly environment.

Jo Winston, Sales Director, at St. Modwen Homes said:

“We are so pleased to be joining forces with the New Tupton Ivanhoe FC and offering our support. Building strong relationships with the neighbouring communities and towns around our developments is something we are very passionate about, and this sponsorship is just one of the many ways we want to give back!

“Now, more than ever, it’s vital to support local groups as they are so important to our communities – giving young people the chance to socialise, learn new skills and build confidence. It’s great to see such a positive outlet for children in the area and it’s crucial to us that we do what we can to help. We wish New Tupton Ivanhoe FC the best of luck for the season ahead!“

Located nearby, our Egstow Park development in Clay Cross consists of a range of 2, 3 and 4-bed homes. Surrounded by a wonderful community, this is the ideal location for families looking to find their dream home – particularly given its convenient location to the motorway and local amenities. What’s more, selected houses within the development are also available to purchase through Part Exchange – which helps to reduce any pesky agency fees.

Our donation to New Tupton Ivanhoe FC is one of the many contributions being made to support local communities. For further information about St. Modwen Homes or to enquire about the Egstow Park development, please call 0330 058 6510 or visit here.
