Local community to benefit from new Cofton Park development

Our Cofton Grange development in Longbridge East is expanding, and phase two of the development has commenced.

The recently launched phase, named Cofton Park, will include a variety of expertly designed houses with a selection of 2, 3 & 4-bedroom homes, totalling 98 homes for sale. Addressing concerns from the wider community with regards to the second phase, we have made several improvements to our initial proposal, including removing plans for the apartment block.

Because of this, we have gone above and beyond to incorporate changes that benefit existing and future residents. We will be making financial contributions to support the NHS trusts (in Bromsgrove, Redditch and Worcestershire), as well as a contribution to Birmingham City Council for improvements to the nearby Lickey Hills Country Park. Plans are also afoot for outdoor fitness equipment to be installed in Cofton Park for the use of residents and visitors.

Cofton Park will reflect our purpose of designing developments that are not just about the homes, but also about respecting surrounding landscapes, as well as the facilities that will help enhance communities and their way of life.

Laura Bisbey, Head of Planning at St. Modwen Homes, said: “We have listened closely to comments from the local community and have worked hard to address the concerns from key stakeholders and the local residents.

“We have scaled back our previous plans by removing the five-storey apartment building. We recognise the impact that the development can have on local infrastructure, and are contributing funds towards the improvements of parks and local medical facilities. As a result, we feel we have now achieved a harmonised plan that works for everyone and enhances this long-term vacant site.

“We are excited to begin work on Cofton Park and encourage all those in the market for a new home to visit Cofton Grange and experience the style and quality of St. Modwen Homes.”

The Nina (2-bed) is ideal for those looking to start their journey on the property ladder or those considering downsizing. This home features plenty of natural light, as well as an open-plan kitchen diner, handy built-in storage space and an en-suite to the master bedroom, making it the perfect option for first-time buyers.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for a little more space, the Mirin (3-bed) is a spacious open-plan home that is set to launch at Cofton Park. The ground floor features a large living room and kitchen diner with French doors that fill the space with natural light. You’ll also find plenty of built-in storage space and a useful downstairs WC. Upstairs, the master bedroom has an en-suite, and the two further bedrooms benefit from a good-sized family bathroom.

Located in East Works Drive in Cofton Hackett, Cofton Park is just a mile and a half from Longbridge town centre. The semi-rural location sees the picturesque Lickey Hills Park right on the doorstep and there is an array of primary and secondary schools nearby. Excellent transport links provide easy access to Birmingham City Centre and further afield.

With phase one a huge success, we are urging home hunters to enquire now and get their hands on one of these beautiful homes ahead of the crowd!
