This is where TikTok comes into its own as a house-hunting tool, with short and snappy videos that are able to either explain the key features of the home, a whilstle-stop tour of the rooms or even a guide to the development.

In fact, recent research shows that TikTok searches relating to homes for sale are increasing in popularity, with the hashtag #houseforsale hitting a staggering 1.4 billion views alone on TikTok, and #homesforsale reaching 333.9 million views.

Other popular property-related searches on the short-form video platform include:

  • #propertytour – 682.4 million views
  • #ukhousetour – 15.8 million views
  • #londonproperties – 10.8 million views
  • #homewalkthrough – 5.2 million views
