The first bricks have now been laid at St. Modwen Homes’ new Lawrence Mill development located on the former Beamlight Automotive factory in the town of Eastwood, Nottinghamshire.
Named after one of the most famous writers of the 20th century, D.H. Lawrence, Lawrence Mill will officially launch to the public in April 2020, when the first homes will be released for sale.
When complete, the development will deliver 40 uniquely designed homes, comprising a mix of two, three and four bedroom detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.
Martin Install, Regional Managing Director North at St. Modwen Homes North, said:
“We’re delighted that the foundations are now being set in place at our Lawrence Mill site and construction is moving forward. The development will not only offer homebuyers looking to make a move to Nottinghamshire with a selection of unique homes, featuring our signature high ceilings and tall windows, but it will also provide great commutable routes into Nottingham.
“Eastwood is a thriving town and the birthplace of D.H. Lawrence, renowned Nottinghamshire author whose work was inspired by the beautiful surrounding countryside.
