Meet the latest stars of the St. Modwen Homes campaign – as individual as you are – Lucy and Nick. The couple bought their first home together at Branston Leas after getting engaged, and couldn’t be happier.
Lucy said: “I was so excited for moving day, I could hardly sleep. When we got the call to say the house was ready, I practically ran to the sales office to get the keys. We were so happy to be in our own home with our own space to fill, but we didn’t get much unpacked on moving day. Our first meal was a local takeaway using our bedside tables as a makeshift dining table.
“Our house really became a home when we picked up our beagle Milo two weeks later. The development is perfect for him, there’s so many places to take him for a walk, plus I work close by so I often pop back in the day to check on him. We’ve even got a little dog camera set up in the kitchen so we can always keep an eye on him and see what mischief he gets up to.
“My favourite room in the house is definitely the kitchen diner. I’m obsessed with cleaning and a big fan of bloggers like Mrs Hinch, so I can guarantee you’ll find me tidying up in there. I’ll admit that we’re not the best hosts, but we did have family round on Boxing Day, which was great.
“We’ve also made great friends at the development, so much so that I’m bridesmaid at our one neighbour’s wedding. The lady that lives next door to us often pops round at weekends for a cuppa as well, and even looks after Milo for us.”
Nick adds: “Our home has been everything we could have hoped for and more. We’ve made so many amazing memories here already, although the biggest moment was celebrating our wedding last year.
“It’s been great fun putting our own stamp on the house too. Lucy really enjoys anything to do with interiors, although she does change her mind a lot – we must have painted about seven times already.
“We would 100% recommend St. Modwen Homes. In fact, we already have done. Lucy’s step cousin has moved just a few streets away from us. When we start a family and need a little extra room, we would happily stay on the development too. I think Lucy has already got her eye on the four-bed Hexham!”
